Vík Cottages

The town of Vík is one of the most iconic in Iceland, with its stunning landscapes and views of the renowned Reynisfara Beach. 

One of the most unique stays in Vík are the quaint Vík Cottages, nestled against a cliff overlooking the beach and surrounding town. These modern cottages are perfect for a unique getaway in Iceland for couples or solo travellers.  They offer twin or double bed options and each cabin has its own bathroom, coffee/tea maker and television.

We stayed one night at the Cottages after visiting the famous DC Plane crash nearby. After exploring the plane in the middle of the black sand beach in the rain had us quite water logged so we appreciated the shower and hair dryers equipped in each cottage. There was also enough space in the cabin to dry out any wet clothing we had, and luckily everything was dry by morning. 

The cottages are walking distance to the Reynisfjara Beach and Dryholaey rock arch. The cottages are also a stone's throw away from access to gas stations and grocery stores.
