Banksy Artwork in Venice

You may be surprised to learn that there is a mural that resides in Venice confirmed to be a famous 'Banksy'.

The artwork is the stencil of a migrant child holding up a bright neon flare. It appeared in the city during the annual art exhibition, Biennale in 2019. While there were many questions initially on whether or not Banksy was responsible for this work, the artist himself confirmed it on his instagram account later. 

The easy to miss mural is located in the Dorsocuro district and we almost passed it completely due to the fact that it is on the water and the tides were high at the time. We also did not know that there was a Banksy artwork in Venice until I googled it afterwards.
