The Voodoo Rooms

If you're looking for a resto bar that serves up the glitz and glamour of the Great Gatsby era, look no further than the enchanting Voodoo Rooms in downtown Edinburgh. 

Founded in 2007, The Voodoo Rooms are housed within a 200-year-old building on Princes Street. As soon as you step through the doors, the allure of old-world charm awaits you. As we visited in the off-season in January, the restaurant was not as busy so we had the opportunity to roam through the rooms and explore the unique charm each offers.  The speakeasy ambiance is accentuated by dark walls, chandeliers and black leather couches. Oh, and we can't forget the eye-catching ceramic tiger on a leash, adding to the dark mystique of the place. 

While the food and drinks are on the pricier side, I really enjoyed my dinner of crispy tofu and katsu curry sauce and found it to be one of my favourite meals in Scotland. The cocktails are also uniquely crafted and were delicious.
