Phatses Restaurant in Milos Greece

If you are visiting Milos and heading to Plaka, you should definitely add a pit stop for lunch at Phátses (Φάτσες in Greek) restaurant.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem in the heart of Plaka while we were on our way to visit the Milos Catacombs (unfortunately closed for the season when we visited early October). The bar resembles an art studio, with mirrors and paintings on the walls and a courtyard with colourful chairs and decorations hanging from the trees.

The restaurant offers authentic Greek food and excellent wine, which is a rewarding treat for your long climb up the hill to Plaka. Despite visiting in late October when the restaurant was operating on reduced hours, the servers were happy to seat and serve us even though they were closing up. The restaurant also offers live music every night during regular season.

As an artist, I loved looking around at all the artwork and quirky decorations around the restaurant's exterior and surrounding courtyard. This place is definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, good food, and interesting art.
