Hallstatt Postcard Angle

Nestled within an enchanting Austrian village, a fairytale hidden gem awaits you - This picturesque village is none other than Hallstatt, Austria, and it is an absolute must visit when travelling through Austria. 

Home to a mere 778 residents, Hallstatt is situated around the pristine shores of Hallstatt Lake. The secret of this tiny village has gotten out, and in recent years a surge of tourists have descended upon the village, eager to capture the hamlet's picture-perfect beauty. 

You can actually Google Map 'Hallstatt Postcard Angle', which will direct you to the most famous and coveted viewpoint in the village. A short walk from the parking lot across the lakefront will take you to the viewpoint - a spot not difficult to locate. The city viewpoint does get rather busy, especially during summer months, so it's best to arrive in off-hours to ensure a more intimate view. We did not have the sunniest day for our visit as it was mostly rainy and overcast, but even on an overcast day, the views across the lake and surrounding mountains retained an almost surreal quality.
