Kleftiko Beach

The island of Milos is a hidden treasure in the Greek Cyclades that offers stunning landscapes and unique attractions with a fraction of the tourists in Santorini or Mykonos.
One of the most significant attractions in Milos is Kleftiko Beach - a cove of turquoise waters, impressive white cliffs and caves. It is even rumoured that pirates used to hide out in the coves and caves of Kleftiko but nowadays you will only find dinghies and swimmers in these waters.
What makes Kleftiko even more special is the fact that it is on a remote end of the island in rough waters which is not easily accessible to the average person. Half or full-day sailboat excursions are available downtown Milos that embark on an adventure across the coastline, exploring the famous 'Bear Rock' and harbour village of Adamas.
This was one of the best tours we went on in Greece. We embarked on the day tour of Milos with Horizon Yachts Bour Tours which was absolutely top notch. A full Greek lunch and adult beverages were also provided for the entirety of the tour. We had time to snorkel around our sailboat at Kleftiko and it was amazing to swim through the crystal clear waters and explore the caves. The boat tours provide snorkelling equipment as well which worked better than the goggles I brought with me.
I would highly recommend adding this tour to your Greek adventure!
To Know Before you Go: We visited Kleftiko at the end of September and many tour companies were not running and we found ourselves in a bind trying to get tickets on the day as most were sold out. I definitely recommend, especially in earlier summer months, to purchase tickets in advance.
