Banksy at the Cargo Club

London has a love affair with street art and it's no wonder that the notorious and enigmatic graffiti master, Banksy, has left his mark on many areas of the city.
Banksy, an artist who has always been a personal favourite of mine, boasts an impressive portfolio of artwork which has made him a worldwide symbol of street graffiti. Naturally, when I was spending a night in London, I couldn't resist the hunt to find a few of his masterpieces. Surprisingly, nestled in the courtyard of the Cargo Club, a cafe/nightclub hybrid in the Shoreditch area, I discovered two of Banksy's works. While many of his works have been vandalized or defaced, these two works have been under the watch of a thick sheet of plexi-glass. His works, "Authorized Graffiti Area and Guard Dog" and "HMV Dog" offer themselves up to the interested eye at no cost, providing you're privy to their hidden location.
There is also a kaleidoscope of graffiti in the courtyard from other artists that are incredibly crafted. The creativity pours out of the courtyard and into the neighbouring streets so be sure to carve out some time to explore all the fantastic creations.
