Troll Garden

Icelandic folklore is steeped in legends and stories of trolls that wandered the mountains and landscapes. While you may not be lucky enough to see a real troll on your Icelandic adventure, Troll Garden is the next best thing.

We drove through Fossatun next to many mountains that were almost troll-like in nature only to discover Troll Garden, a small path lined with many troll sculptures overlooking a small waterfall called, Troll Waterfall. We wandered along the path and read many plaques about troll folklore and stories. Troll Garden is a fun pit stop along your tour of West Iceland and it's located just off the main highway.

Be sure to get a photo in the troll's cauldron while you're there!
