Situated in the heart of the peaceful Rushes cemetery lies a unique tombstone that harbours a cryptic crossword code. It took us a while to find the stone in the cemetery - Eventually our journey through the labyrinth led us to the crossword gravestone with the words, "Reader meet us in heaven", teasing our curiosity even further. 

The tombstone was created by Dr. Samuel Bean, a man whose life was haunted by a grim twist of fate. Oddly enough, his two wives, Henrietta and Susanna met their untimely demise mere months after marrying the doctor. Samuel buried the two side by side and etched the mysterious puzzle onto their shared tombstone - with him alone knowing the answer to the cryptic code. Unfortunately, the grim fate that befall his wives also came for Dr. Bean, as he fell overboard on a boat ride to Cuba. The secrets of the tombstone were taken with Samuel to his watery grave.

Throughout the years, many curious townsfolk would visit this curious marker, yearning to crack its code. It was not until the 1970s that a tenacious woman cracked the code and unveiled its hidden message.
