Hrunalaug

Hrunalaug is a very small natural hot spring located close to Flúðir. The property is family-owned but open to the public.

The hot spring is popular among tourists and locals and can comfortably fit around 5-6 people. There is a small changing room available for use, where you can store your items.

We enjoyed a soak in the tub and had the pleasure of meeting fellow travelers whom we really enjoyed chatting with while taking in the amazing scenery. The spring is situated in a tranquil and serene location, away from the typical tourist routes.

Before you go, it's important to note that when we visited Iceland in 2021, entry to the hot springs was free. However, the current price for adults to enter the tub is 1500 kr, and there is a time limit of 1.5 hours to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to enjoy the hot spring.
