Hoot the Redeemer

Hoot the Redeemer in Edinburgh is one of the most eclectic and memorable bars I visited while in Scotland!

From the outside, a small neon sign leads down an unassuming stairwell. At the foot of the stairs sits a fortune telling machine which you must push open to enter the restaurant. Once you open the door and step inside, you will be whisked away by a 1950s New Orleans themed fun fair with vintage posters, boozy slushies and a colourful atmosphere. 

You can try your luck at the many arcade games located throughout the bar or  order yourself an adult ice cream from 'Senor Scoop', the resident ice cream vending machine. You can also try your hand at the 'Pinch and Sip', a claw machine that determines your drink flavour of choice. 

Be prepared to enter a cabinet of curiosities full of child-like wonder and fun. Predict good fortune should you happen to drop in!
