Hoffell Hot Tubs

Iceland and thermal baths go hand-in-hand. While most tourists will flock to popular spots such as the Blue Lagoon, GeoSea or Sky Lagoon, there are so many thermal paradises all across the country that are off the well-known path, including the 'Hoffell Hot Tubs'.

Driving down the dirt road to get there, we were almost sure we made the wrong turn but nestled in the beautiful landscape surrounded by mountains were four hot tubs each at varying temperatures. There was a small fee to get in but it was virtually empty at the time when we went in August. The hot tubs have a bathroom and change rooms available for use as well. The hot tubs were a relaxing stop on our South Iceland roadtrip.
