Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park

Delight your senses in one of Michigan's finest horticultural gardens and Sculpture Parks in Grand Rapids at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. 

It's not hard to understand why this park has ranked in the top 50 most visited museums in the world. There are more than 200 works in the collection exhibited both indoor and outdoors. The many sculpture exhibitions are curated on a temporary basis and are developed annually by Meijer Gardens. 

You can easily spend a full day here as there is so much to see for artists and botanists alike. Inside, you can visit the botanical museum with an array of exotic plants and flowers. Outside, is a horticultural paradise, with many large and interesting sculptures by famous artists nestled among a beautiful landscape. 

While we chose to walk to see the sculptures across the many acres of the park, there is also a tram that takes you around the park for easier access for a small additional cost. In addition, there are several kid's play areas if you plan to come as a family. 

I would highly recommend a visit to the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. It's a peaceful and interesting way to spend an afternoon - even when visiting in the winter, it still retains its charm and beauty.
