David Hasselhoff Museum

When we traveled to Berlin, we definitely wanted to check out the eclectic and affordable Circus Hostel. However, what we didn't realize is that there is a secret shrine in the basement dedicated to none other than David Hasselhoff himself.
You may be saying to yourself, 'But David Hasselhoff isn't German.' And you would, in fact, be correct. However, The Hoff is arguably one of the most famous non-Germans in Germany. Why, you ask? On New Years Eve in 1989, David sang his German pop hit, 'Looking for Freedom' in front of a crowd celebrating the collapse of the Berlin Wall. After that, The Hoff maintained popularity as a famous icon in the country.
The David Hasselhoff Museum hosts a collection of Hoff memorabilia, including Baywatch and Knight Rider paraphernalia, a scarf formerly belonging to the icon that he wore back in 1989, and, of course, a framed photo of The Hoff himself. You can also take a selfie next to the iconic David Hasselhoff mural painted by a superfan and even stroke his faux-chest hair.
