The haunted Tulloch Castle Hotel
Scotland and castles go hand-in-hand but why not take it to the next level and stay overnight in a castle?
Located in Dingwall in the Highlands of Scotland, the Tulloch castle dates back to the 14th century. The castle had served as a home for the Tulloch, Davidson and Vickers families but is now a hotel that you can stay in overnight.
What drew me to this castle was it's supernatural history. While the hotel has been reported to be haunted by many ghosts, the most notable on the property is the ghost of the 'Green Lady', or Elizabeth Davidson. She has been spotted so many times that the on-site bar is actually named after her. A number of paranormal investigators have explored the castle and have noted orbs, cold patches and heard several noises.
As a ghost lover, I naturally requested the most haunted room. Upon arriving at the room, we noticed that the toilet wasn't working properly so we called the main desk to have them look into it. When the hotel employee came to check on the room, he couldn't enter because the front doorknob fell off! We were told we had to switch rooms but I took it as a sign the ghost inhabitant wanted a night of peace and quiet without guests.
After having dinner at the restaurant that evening, I toured around the castle, exploring the main hall, the bar lobby and around several of the unoccupied rooms. There is also a photo of the 'Green Lady' herself hanging in the main hall room which you need to check out.
While I didn't see any ghosts in person, I did take a photo of the lobby and there is a green orb in the photo below. Can you spot it?

A green orb spotted in the hotel hallway - was it the ghost of the Green Lady?
